Jun 13, 2025 · Following the recent trend of posting manufacturers artwork from vintage magazines, I recently found this advertisement for the Duple Donnington on the front cover of a magazine dated June 1959. By 1958 the Duple Midland Factory in Loughborough were building a coach body for the Reliance and the Tiger Cub, but despite a very similar front end treatment and identical chassis options, the Donington (named after Castle Donington, the nearest town to Kegworth, the original home of the coachbuilding operation) was a very different vehicle under the skin.
