Viconia Viconia's romance epilogue is quite controversial amongst the fandom, who argue there are multiple reasons why it breaks suspension of disbelief (such as the sheer power and mystical options available to two such high-level adventurers). An additional optional component for the romance is a new epilogue for romanced and redeemed Viconia, of a less tragic kind than the original one. In her original epilogue [11] Viconia killed all cult members due to one's betrayal, shrugging off the admonishment of her goddess, which mirrors her early rebellious actions against ⁠ Lolth. If unromanced, she continues a life of adventure, starts her own enclave for Shar but ends up destroying it when they betray her. Setting aside the fact that a whole bunch of BG1 characters die in BG2 (Ajantis, Faldorn, Xzar, Montaron, Khalid, Dynaheir, Safana, Coran and Tiax), the epilogues for Keldorn, Cernd, Viconia (romanced) and Korgan all end with their demise. I have been hoping to finish up Viconia's romance progression, but as of right now, I am at what the following link refers to as L31 (as in that is the last one that I have come across). In the original epilogue, after her cult in Waterdeep was destroyed, she had lost Shar's favor and went and had many adventurers and did the hero thing for awhile. One of her followers would eventually turn against her, precipitating a furious Viconia to slaughter the entire cult, herself. Note that this will in no way affect the Edwin romance in itself, so if you prefer Viconia's original epilogue, simply bypass this component upon installation.
