2x8 fascia board lowes. Apr 28, 2005 · Wondering if any using a 2x8 or 208 cabs as standalone and are still getting decent volume with an even response without sacrificing to much low end? Two of the 2x8 cabinets will create a 4 ohm load. The new Peavey’s are cool in the fact that the drivers are angled up at the player. I’m wondering if folks are using the Trace Elliot 2x8 cab and digging the tone as much as the portability of the tiny cab. Interested in any & all general info & impressions comparing these two. provides more than 25% additional speaker area IIRC (didn't actually run the math) and would likely make a great home practice solution that could handle some small/limited gigs.
